VICHY DERMABLEND | FLUID CORRECTIVE FOUNDATION & SETTING POWDER

Vichy isn't typically a brand that I would automatically gravitate towards when it comes to makeup. I'm much more into their skincare. I've always been intrigued by their Dermablend range and I've recently been trying out their foundation and the notorious setting powder.

I'm not  usually one for full coverage foundations, however this one has definitely one me over! This is a full coverage foundation which claims to last for 16 hours. A great thing about this foundation is that three new shades have been introduced to bring it up to a grand total of 8 shades in the range. For such a concise shade range, they cover a broad range of skin tones. I have the shade 65 Coffee. I wear this foundation by mixing it with MAC Face and Body to give it a thinner consistency and blending it in with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Despite slightly changing the consistency, it's still incredibly pigmented and I find that I don't need to use any concealer on my areas of pigmentation! This foundation lasts really well on the skin and I don't fin that I need to powder my face throughout the day. Irrespective of it's deceiving size, this foundation is 30ml however being so compact makes it perfect for travel!

When it comes to powders, I don't like those that provide extra coverage as I can get that from my foundation and concealer. I just like when my powder sets my makeup in place. This one is exactly how I like my powders. It's nice and finely milled and is very tight in consistency, which means that it never cakes up on my face. Being a transparent powder, it works for a range of skin tones without leaving a grey cast on the face. My only qualm with this product is that because it is loose, means that when using it on a busy morning can be a bit messy and slightly inconvenient. I personally like to apply this powder with a duo fibre face brush so it doesn't apply too much to the face.

Have you tried any Vichy products? What's your verdict?

    1. I've always wanted to try the foundation, it's one I've only really heard good things about. Although I'm not sure if any of the shades would suit me! x
